Zima má samozřejmě i mnoho pozitiv. Na té naší mám zvlášť ráda, když si můžu prohlížet holé koruny stromů, vzdávající hold nekonečné rozmanitosti přírody. Asi každý z nás dobře zná převislý tvar břízy nebo smuteční vrby, štíhlý topol, symetrický habr nebo metlovitý vzhled javoru mléče, cv. Globosum. Všimli jste si ale někdy krajkoví lípy a že světlý platan může proti vybělené zimní obloze připomínat obrovitou vločku? Stojí za to se dívat.
Our winters have of course plenty of positives as well. I like especially watching bare tree crowns doing credit to infinite diversity of nature. Probably each of us knows birch´s or willow´s weeping silhouette, slender poplar, symetrical hornbeam or a broom shape of Norway maple, cv. Globosum. But have you ever noticed linden´s lace or that a pale plane can resemble a giant flake against bright winter sky? It´s worth watching.

Platany (v tomto případě javorolistý, Platanus x acerifolia) vytváří majestátní, rozkladité koruny.
Plane-trees (Platanus x acerifolia in this case) create stately, spreading crowns.

Lípa (Tilia cordata) dobře reaguje na řez přizpůsobující ji danému prostoru.
A lime-tree (Tilia cordata) is very common in the Czech Republic, it is our national tree that can be shaped well to fit into concrete space.

I was excited to see a picture of a linden. Its name sounds the same in Russian - Lipa (Липа). This is my favorite tree. I love linden honey. I tried to find it here in the U.S., but nobody whom I asked heard about it... Beautiful pictures. I like how hydrangea looks - gourgeous even in winter time! Thanks!

hello, your blog is interesting but..is it possible to put the google translator ? ... because I can't understand your language...
OdpovědětVymazatciao dana
Dana,as you can notice,it´s billingual,so if you understand English, you can read it.I won´t put any translator on my pages, because Czech is a quite difficult language and nonsenses come from it.But if you want, you can use it separately, just type concrete link in the translator.Good luck!
OdpovědětVymazatTatyana, linden honey is common here, it has pale colour and crystalizes quickly.
OdpovědětVymazatI love how you've shown all 3 scales of a garden, monumental, residential and human scale. Well done!
